This story about a college guy and his dog going on an adventure in order to be able to write a book, as the guy is an aspiring writer but without concrete inspiration, is what inspired Kevin's mother to be a writer and Kevin to be a robot designer (since the guy in the book runs into a flying robot who takes him to another dimension).
However, for some reason, director Marius van Mooikasteel has now decided that this will not be a book on its own. It will be one of the stories in a story bundle called "Epiese Verhale", or "Epic Tales", that will also be used in other scenes with other stories being read from it.
Well, whichever way, a book needed to be created to be shown on screen in a scene where Kevin finds the book in the basement among his grandfather's old stuff.
And that is why artist Marius van Mooikasteel has had to revive his old colored pencil set, which hasn't seen much if any action in decades now, in order to create the cover mentioned.
The book cover was created and is the one in the accompanying picture to this article. Not badlooking at all, mate!
So, now we have the book, and we are now in the process of creating a brand new movie set area in the building known as "Props A". Here the scene will be filmed of the book being found in the basement.
